Description
The Electric Fountain in Denver Colorado.
The new 2008 Electric Fountain in Ferril Lake at City Park in Denver Colorado is an historically accurate re-creation of the original 1908 Electric Fountain.
Known to generations of Denver residents and visitors, the original Electric Fountain was completed in time to astonish visitors to the 1908 Democratic National Convention.
100 years later, the new Electric Fountain was completed in time for the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
The fountain features over 1300 nozzles with the center geyser shooting water up to 90 feet in the air. Twelve different water patterns are illuminated at night with incandescent and state-of-the-art multi-color LED lighting.
The web site has information about the current status of the fountain, the daily schedule, a calendar of special events and even an interactive drawing of the fountain works and lights!
The fountain runs all day, changing water patterns every 5 minutes. Fountain shows start at 7:00PM during the operating season (Memorial Day weekend to the end of September). The colored lights come on at dusk each night and the fountain shows continue until 11PM each night.
